Raincoast is a team of conservationists and scientists empowered by our research to protect the lands, waters and wildlife of coastal British Columbia. They use rigorous, peer-reviewed science and community engagement to further their conservation objectives. They call this approach ‘informed advocacy’. As a charitable, non-profit conservation science organization that operates a research lab, research field station, and a research/sailing vessel, they are unique in Canada. Their work includes protecting wild salmon (the foundation of all wilderness in this coastal environment), advocating for an oil-free coast, protecting bears and much more.
We believe that Raincoast will be foundational to protecting this environment.
In addition to the Financial Support of the Nature of Real Estate, and Participants of the excursion, our intention is to bring the attention of our spheres to this important work. Please learn more about Raincoast, and if you believe in their important work, make a Donation Here.
